BUSH & MEDICARE

Bush now says he is opposed to government sponsored health care which I assume means he is opposed to MEDICARE. Everyone should call the White House 202 456 1111 and demand that Bush hold a prime time press conference explaining to the U.S. public
why Bush is opposed to MEDICARE. Does this mean that Bush plans in the near future to issue an executive order barring the U.S. government from funding MEDICARE?
Call your Congressman and Senator and ask them where do they stand on MEDICARE.
Call your local media outlets and ask them to ask Bush to clarify his recent comments on government sponsored health care.

NEW BRUCE CD

The word on the street is that Bruce Springsteen will put out a new E_STREET Band
CD scheduled for release in late fall let's hope the rumors are true. Also Bruce's wife Patty Scialfa will release "Play It As It Lays" scheduled for release in early
September.
Hopefully with a new E-Street CD the band will be out on the road sometime early next year

HELP SNOWBALL AVOID FORECLOSURE/BANKRUPTCY

Me and my almost 13 year old cat SNOWBALL are in desperate financial straits and like many others we are way in over our head in debt. As a self-employed individual in a midwestern state my business income has declined by 95% over the past few years as a result of factors beyond my control.

For the past 2 years I tried to rebuild my business and I even briefly moved to another state at great additional expense to myself. 2 years ago a major client of mine told me they needed help in this other state and that if I moved there I could count on alot of work sent my way.
Based on this promise I made 3 trips to this state 650 miles away to get set up. I borrowed $20,000 to make the move assured that I would receive alot of work in this new location. In previous years this customer had sent me over $100,000 a year in business. When I got to the new location this customer of mine failed to deliver on their promise.

I then began to look for other customers and after 2 months a new company started to send me some work and for a short time I was able to pay my bills. However after several months went by the work dropped off and I had to bust my lease and return to my original home. On the way home the engine on my car started to act up and when I returned my mechanic informed me the engine had to be replaced. A friend loaned me their 1992 Saturn, which lasted me about 4 months before it too broke down.

My attempts to rebuild my business here did not work out and I was forced to refinance my home on terms that were very economically disadvantageous to me. At this time I planned on using some of my money from the refinance to start a new business that I could work at in the evenings and on weekends. 4 Days after I mailed out a check to buy the equipment I needed to start this new business, I woke up with persistent and what has turned out to be chronic diarrhea. To make matters worse, I lack health insurance.

After 3 months of medical tests and $4,000 in new medical bills, I was diagnosed with a condition-LYMPHOCYTIC COLITIS-that causes 6-20 bowel movements a day for most of its victims. This new medical condition had me in great distresss for the first 3-4 months as I tried to learn how to minimize its effects. I had to learn what kind of foods I could eat and which ones I needed to avoid. I am slowly regaining my health and strength while I have been out trying to market my new business. I have provided a copy of my medical diagnosis to a 3rd party which confirms my recent illness. I am certain that the financial distress I have experienced the past 2 years is the primary cause of my illness.

To make my new business go I really need 1 more piece of equipment that costs about $3,000. I am currently $60,000 in debt and my mortgage company just sent me a FORECLOSURE WARNING NOTICE. I need to come up with $10-12,000 in the coming weeks to avoid foreclosure and to get my new business running properly. So I am asking for any contributions, donations, help of any kind to help me buy the equipment I need to effectively run my new business and get current with my mortgage payments. In return for any assistance I receive, I make the following PROMISE: I will offer my cleaning services for FREE to the local Humane Society and other area non-profits like battered women shelters, drug crisis centers, programs for troubled youth, etc. I promise to do this on a regular ONGOING basis in exchange for any assistance that will help me to get back on my feet financially.
